Lisa Hugo was born in Melbourne but currently calls Dubai home. She is classically trained and is a singer, songwriter, composer and pianist. She started to sing and play piano at an early age and went on to study music, receiving a Diploma in Music Performance at the Australian College of Entertainers at the age of 22. Then she went off to travel the world, performing in musicals, on TV, on cruise ships and in 5 star hotels.
Lisa blends acoustic pop with jazz & soul. Over the years Lisa has been a regular guest singer with the Royal Australian Airforce and Army Bands and the Brussels Concert Band. She has shared the stage with many top Australian performers been a regular performer on the television show “Good Morning Australia”. At the Dubai Jazz Festival 2009 Lisa hit the stage alongside James Blunt, John Legend, Incognito, Peter Cincotti and Liz Wright.
One of Lisa’s favourite songs is called Butterfly, which Erk features on episode 2. The song is a slick bossa nova song that profits hugely from the singer’s signature three-octave vocals. While she currently calls Dubai home, she still visits Australia from time to time. Dubai is a perfect base for Lisa to tour and perform in Europe.
