Olá. From now on I’ll be here too. Rodrigo, from Insomnia Radio: Portugal. For my first appearance here, I bring you a Chicago based band, who’s name was inspired in a song from The Who.
Call Me Lightning has long been one of Milwaukee’s most popular indie-rock bands, packing clubs with its roaring mix of arena-rock stomp and punk-rock energy. The band’s new album, When I Am Gone My Blood Will Be Free, is a typically hard-charging yet tuneful collection of songs—imagine if Tommy-era Who cut its teeth in the Riverwest basement scene—and is a contender for best local record of year.
